How fast does a typical hockey puck fly when it is shot at full force in the NHL?

I don't know where people get the idea that many players shoot the puck over 100 mph. In the history of the league only a handful of players have reached over the 100mph, and that's during competition, not during a game. 80 to 85 would be more accurate for a game situation. I highly doubt Hull ever hit 120 mph.
