PRICELINE NAME YOUR OWN PRICE(airfare)?

The last few times I tried Priceline, I could not get anything off the asking price and Priceline's asking prices are often higher than other web sites. However, it doesn't hurt to try. Reduce the asking price by about 40%. If it is not accepted, they tell you within a few minutes. You can then change your flight options (date, departure city, etc) and bid again. If you do not change your flight options, Priceline will require you to wait a few days (7 I think) before you can bid again. As you repeat bid, increase your bid somewhat. Sometimes Priceline will present you a counter offer. You then have the option to accept that offer or continue the bidding process; however, the counter offer is going to be as good as it gets. Remember, if your bid is accepted, you have bought that ticket and you cannot get a refund. Don't get caught up in the process of bidding, Before you know it you might be paying more than you can get on another site. Do your shopping elsewhere before you bid.
