I am worried about a good friend of mine.?

A friend of mine has this borderline obession with the need to be super famous like A list celebrity famous. He said that he has to have the spotlight and everyone focus on him he has to be the center of attention. Lately he has this idea that he wants to solve famous unsolved cases not to help the families with closure but to get famous by doing it. He has no criminal justice background no training in anything to prepare him for this. He just thinks that he will walk in and solve the case and that is that. He will not take critizim or anyone disagreeing with him. He gets really really mad and throw a temper tantrum. Yesterday he called me and said that he wants to prove the JonBenet Ramseys mom killed her. I am getting worried about what he is doing. He thinks that if he does this then the whole world will love and adore him, I told him to do something locally starting a charity or something like that do something good for other people He said that he wants Everyone to love him and I am quoting him " I want the entire world to know who I am I want all the attention to be on me I want to see myself on Oprah". He wants me to join him in this quest for fame but he told me that I have to agree with what he says and I am never to tell him he is wrong. I don't know what to do anymore. At first I thought he was joking around but now he is getting serious. When I told him that I don't think that Boulder police will let him reenact the murder scene he got really depressed and said there goes my chance to be famous. Can someone please help me I am getting scared for him. It sounds like to me he is about to go off the deep end. Please Please can someone give me some advice.
