When you change the OS from Microsoft XP to Microsoft Vista, does everything in the system gets deleted?

I have Vista. For Gods sake why would you do that. It''s the worst mistake I ever made with a computer. Spend the money on a dinner with your girlfriend instead of cursing your computer
