Can you help me figure out whats going on in my dreams?

Okay, I'm going to try to explain this without sounding like a frantic psychopath. Ever since i was younger (like ten I'm 17 now) Ive had dreams of being in a place or during a dream i would go to this place. Every dream would be simple and in color and what-not. I remember there being a certain road that led to said location...it was a bridge that connected my little dream world to "reality" if you will. After i would get off this bridge, i would make a right turn on a path and walk into a little fenced in, wooded area through a whole in the fence. This place was like constantly snowy but warm. it was the ultimate peaceful place. but one day, i had a nightmare in this place where there was a giant snake that i had to kill. I took care of it but ever since then, I returned to this place shortly after that and it was destroyed...like someone had come in and wrecked it. i haven't been able to go back to this place. In my dreams, I'll be trying to get there but the bridge would either break causing me to fall into the water and drown or i would get to this place and it wouldn't be there any longer.In other dreams i've had, I have drove past this place...my dreams almost always occur in this little dream land of mine, but never in any real life locations. Since i found out this place was destroyed, my dreams have been in black and white(scenery wise), and lacking sunshine when in this dream land. This has left me so confused. If you can explain to me why the hell this is happening or what is happening, i'll be eternally grateful. thanks :3 i hope i didn't freak you out too much
